Sicilian Serpent Gourds

This is one of the rare gourds that is actually edible originating from Italy.  If harvested slightly immature,  the fleshy interior can be prepared similar to eggplant. This was grown by Anna De Rosa showing what we can grow here, sent to Don Burnett who was kind enough to forward to Ken.

If you have any interesting plantings like this that are new or not seen often in the Valley please email a photo or two.
