Above photo taken after installation. Photo below from this year after the plants have had some time to establish themselves.
We began planning the renovations to this garden in early spring 2010. The installation work was carried out during the summer of that year. The owner of the property is a keen gardener and was very involved in planning the garden and plant selection. The existing garden was overgrown and in need of a new rock retaining wall and steps to replace the old, rotting timber structure. We decided to build an additional rock wall along the base of a large sloping bed to add continuity to the garden and to lessen the slope of the planting bed making it more useable. Raised vegetable beds, a timber pergola and a circular seating area all add to the beauty of this plant lover’s garden.
