This beautifully crafted, cedar pergola built over a hot tub, with new concrete pavers in front of the hot tub and a new deck, has transformed our client’s outdoor living space! The brief for this project was relatively simple; to re-design a small back garden area, making the most of the space available for entertaining and relaxing, keeping the existing pond and including space for a new hot tub. By removing an old heat pump right next to the house, the space became much more usable. The relatively small area of the garden meant that it was feasible to locate the hot tub away from the house. Building the pergola to go over the hot tub was an integral part of the design. Reduced maintenance was a requirement of the clients so we built the main deck using deck boards made of a 95% recycled composite material. Landscape lighting completed the project which was finished at the end of November 2013.
